Vincent J. Arone, Jr.
Vincent began working at The Ledges in 1970 as a camp counselor during the summer months, supervising activities and providing direct support to the residents. In 1973, Vincent began attending college while continuing to work at The Ledges during the summer. As a complement to the courses he was studying while at school, Vincent took on the role of scheduling and managing all programs and activities for the residents of The Ledges.
Upon the completion of his degree, Vincent assumed a full time position at The Ledges as an administrator, assisting the Executive Director and serving as the liaison between the Agency and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Vincent worked closely with the Department of Mental Retardation, the Bureau of Special Education, and the Office for Children. During this time, Vincent attended school to complete his Master’s degree, and soon began taking on the responsibility of testing and evaluating the individuals for the preparation of psychological profiles and behavior plans.
In 1990, Vincent became the Director of Operations and Admissions, and in 2010, he assumed the role of Executive Director.
Vincent received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College.Nancy Arone
Nancy began work at The Ledges in 1977 as a classroom teacher for adolescents with developmental disabilities. She subsequently earned a Master’s degree as a Generic Consultant, and began serving as the Director of Education. In this position, she created individualized learning programs for each resident based on continual assessments of skill levels, personal needs, and stated goals. She directed the teaching staff and reviewed community-based learning opportunities to ensure each person could make selections from a broad, yet focused, educational base. Her responsibilities grew quickly, and she became an integral member of the individual supports planning team where she contributed to the development of individualized residential curriculums.
In addition to her many roles, Nancy began performing the duties of the CFO at The Ledges, while working closely with staff from the Department of Developmental Services, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, MassHealth, and other state agencies.
Nancy has a Master’s degree as a Special Education Coordinator and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education.
She has worked in the local public school system as a special needs teacher and tutor. She also worked in direct patient care at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
